Amber and Clayton are married! | Lake Jackson Civic Center Brazoria County Photographer

Amber and Clayton have been such amazing client's and I know I say that a lot about my clients, but they are all really amazing! I am definitely blessed ... and it hurts me to even say "clients", because at the end of the day they are more like friends.

Amber was a bridesmaid at one of my past weddings (from another fabulous bride, remember Cassie) and I actually went to high school with Clayton, so working with them really meant a lot to me. And I was completely honored for them to put complete trust in me in capturing one of their biggest days of their lives.

They were married at the Civc Center in Lake Jackson, Tx. I had the pleasure to work with Terri from Storybook Weddings. She was just as great to work with as she was almost 8 or 9 years ago when I first worked with her at one of my very first weddings... when I shot film! It wasn't the "cool" thing to do then, it was a necessity, haha! Although, saying that makes me sound like I am a dinosar or something, I promise I am only 27... wait... 25 (I think that is the number I decided to stop on)haha!

All the decorations were done by Affairs to Remember who also did a fabulous job of turning the main ballroom of the Civic Center into a beautiful space.

Carrie's Bridals | Hotel Icon Houston Wedding Photographer

Carrie got married last weekend, so I am free to show off her bridals taken at the beautiful Hotel Icon .

She is most certainly one FABULOUS bride! Absolutely loved working with her! How can you not love a bride that trust you and is up for anything?

Me: "Hey, the ladies bathroom is sorta awesome, let's do some in here."

Carrie: "Let's do it!"

Or something along those lines! Hahaha!

Carrie, thank you for being so amazing! I wish you could get married again just so we could hang out and do everything all over! Although, Josh might not like that too much ;)

And just so you know... she has a gorgeous smile. And it's pretty contagious!

She also knows how to have a good time!

And finally, she knows how to be stunning and fabulous!

I had the great privilege to be a second shooter for Karalle Photography (the lovely Dianna Montoya) at Beth and Tim's adorable back yard wedding.

This couple is so sweet they made my teeth hurt! And so in love that they me say "awww" more than once!

Carrie and Josh are getting married!

This weekend actually at the luxurious Hotel Icon! So I figured what better way to pre-celebrate by sharing their engagement photos! I really wish I could share Carrie's bridal images, but you and I are just going to have to wait until after Saturday!!!

Congratulations Carrie and Josh! I can't wait to hang out with you guys again this weekend!

Cindy and Leon are getting married! | Antique Rose Emporium Engagement Session

I'm going to first off say that it was EXTREMELY windy that day. EXTREMELY! We seriously felt we were fighting with a tropical storm! But thankfully Cindy has beautiful brown hair that she styled with big curls! We might have had to fight to get all of these shots, but it was well worth it - the blood shot eyes the volumized hair, the sore vocal chords from trying to yell over the howl...

Their chemistry, the wind, and her hair all worked perfectly for their session :) Especially their chemistry :)

We sort of missed the sun set since we were having too much fun in the field of flowers and the beautiful light coming from behind the trees, but we were able to still get these...

Amber's summer bridals Part I | Varner Hogg Plantation Brazoria County Wedding photographer

Amber is a happily married women now and thank goodness, because I have been busting at the seems to show off this gorgeous girl and her gorgeous gown! She chose Varner Hogg Plantation in the good ol' Dub C (A.K.A West Columbia) for her bridal location and I don't think she could have picked a better place!

I am showing these in parts since there are too many to choose from, so here are my favorite black and white images! More to come soon!

CONTEST: Newborn Fusion Film (photo+video)

Perspectives Photography (me) and Omar from Del Rio Films are looking for an interesting and a unique story to put together a Fusion Film (photo+ video) that will tell about the birth of your little one! Now this is a little tricky because we are wanting a newborn 1 to 10 days old (since that is the best age to photograph a newborn), so you either have to think that your story is going to be unique OR your little one was just brought into this world and you just happened to run across this blog :)

You can see an example of our work below. However, with our next creation we are wanting to interview the parents, which is why we are looking for an interesting story to tell ;)

Amber and Clayton are getting married!

I am so excited to be working with Amber and Clayton! They are getting married in July and I know their wedding is going to be a blast!

Amber wanted something a little different with the engagement session, so we put together a few concepts. It was freezing and so windy the day we did their session, which worked when we started their camp fire (we were all ice blocks by that time so it helped us thaw out a tad), but the wind and cold did make it a little interesting for the rest of the session. However they were amazing through it all, such troopers, and I love what we captured!

They love to hunt, so we had to get a shot with Clayton's gun and Coal, their adorable lab.

To go along with their hunting we put together a campfire themed set. Completed with SMORES and HOT CHOCOLATE! And as you might have noticed I always like to play around with different processing, which made these images really fun to edit!

Thank you Amber and Clayton for being open to doing something a little different and being so fun to work with! I truly can't wait for the wedding, thankfully I have Amber's bridal session to look forward to in a few weeks. That should help hold over my excitment :)

Erica and Bobby are married! | Bell Tower on 34th Houston, Tx Wedding Photographer

Bobby and Erica were married at the beautiful Bell Tower on 34th in Houston, Texas.  They found each other because of an article written about the difficulty of being able to find love, oddly enough, written by Bobby. It was titled "No Love for Mr. Right," and published in Essence Magazine. Little did he know that this article would  lead him to finding Miss Right. 

Erica and Bobby, thank you for letting me spend the day with you and capture such a wonderful day in your lives.

Erica and Bobby decided to do a "first look." This is something more and more of my brides are deciding to do and it's one of my favorite things to capture at a wedding.















Erica is usually all smiles, but she did get emotional as she walked down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment.
